Maria Sköld
Maria is a Senior Communications Manager, writer, and editor. Her job is to help get SIWI’s message out about the importance of water.
Maria has a background in journalism, covering politics and issues related to human development at a leading Swedish daily. She has also lived in and reported from Central America and Southeast Asia.
Before joining SIWI in 2018, Maria was a project manager at a major Scandinavian content agency, working with leading brands. She has also been an educator, training journalists to report about politics, gender, and refugee issues.

Communications
The communications team drives and coordinates all communication from and within SIWI. The team works with all other departments to make sense of complex water issues by promoting expertise and scientific research.
