Ashraf Ravindarnath

My name is Ashraf Ravindarnath. I’m 16 years old and I’m studying in 12th grade. I enjoy playing with my friends and trying new things in my freetime. I have participated in several competitions across Asia, but due to Covid-19, this time it’s alot different. The reason for participating in the SJWP is because we want to share our solution to the world. My classmate and I came up with a solution in helping people to be exposed to more clean/pure water using only natural ingredients. It’s already been an interesting experience taking part in SJWP.

Tell us what the water concern in your country is!

Laos in a country where the majority of people live in rural areas. There were approximately 1.9million Lao population without improved water supply and 2.4Million without improved sanitation (2014). In 2011 There were 3Million disease cases in Laos, especially in the rural ares due to bad sanitation.

This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:

We should come up with ideas that use natural resources in order to maintain, grow and protect our earth. We often take things such as water, cleanliness for granted, The key is to work together to help solve the necessary things for our own well being, not for our wealth.
