Monetizing sustainability in the fashion and textile industry

Event information detail is can be read below

Venue – name: Ocean, SIWI Office

Venue- address: Linnegatan 87A, 115 23 Stockholm

What is the business case for transitioning the fashion and textile industry towards a circular economy? Join us for a seminar to discuss research and experiences from brands, investors and academia on monetizing sustainability investments.

Sustainability challenges within the fashion and textile industry are plentiful: The industry is responsible for about 20 per cent of global wastewater production and for more carbon emissions than all international flights and maritime shipping combined.

There is a huge need for change, but also a potential to make things better. The fashion and textile industry must respond to the societal pressure for sustainability to secure the future of their business. Sustainability efforts can have direct and indirect gains for companies and investors, but how can they be monetized sustainably? What new business models are needed to make the transition towards circular economy? And what role can investors play?

Join us and take part of research as well as experience from brands, investors and academia!
