2014 Stockholm Statement films & papers launched

Launched at the closing session of last year’s World Water Week, the 2013 Stockholm Statement made a global call for a dedicated SDG on Water. Building on this central message, SIWI produced five films accompanied by five thematic papers designed to enhance the understanding of the centrality of water in building resilient societies of the future.

Global demand for freshwater is projected to grow by 55% between 2000 and 2050. This poses a huge risk for increased competition over water from different users. SIWI has produced five thematic films and background papers to share insight on the centrality of water in building resilient future societies.
