Diego Rodríguez is currently a Senior Water Resources Management Specialist based in the Bank’s office in Mexico City where he is responsible for the coordination, strategic dialogue, formulation and supervision of lending operations, and the design and implementation of sectoral, policy, and analytical studies. At the global level, he leads the team responsible for formulating and implementing the decision tree framework for incorporating climate and non-climatic uncertainty into water resource planning and investment project design and is currently engaged Kenya, Nepal, and Mexico. He is also providing technical support to operational teams in the economic analysis of water infrastructure with an emphasis on the application of decision scaling and decision making under uncertainty methods.

Prior to joining the World Bank he worked at the Danish Hydraulic Institute and the Inter-American Development Bank. He has more than 25 years of experience in sectoral, operational, policy and strategy development in water supply, sanitation, and water resources management. He holds a PhD in Economics (Water), an MA in Applied Economics and a BS in Economics.
