High-level Panel on Water Sherpas to attend World Water Week

Representatives (Sherpas) of the High-level Panel on Water will attend this year’s World Water Week, participating in various events, and engaging with the broader water community.

The High Level Panel on Water (HLPW) – to which SIWI is a supporting expert organization – aims to mobilize global support for the implementation of the water-related SDGs. It will host a special event to provide information and updates on the progress of the Panel, and provide an opportunity for dialogue. It will also be represented in the event Building a Resilient Future through Water, which will focus on ways to better integrated the implementation of the 2030 and climate agendas – with water as a useful connector.

The HLPW was launched earlier this year at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos by UN Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon and World Bank President Jim Yong Kim.
