Sydney Sapper

Seminar: Entrepreneurship driving water impact for all

Sydney Sapper is the Program Coordinator for Malaria and WASH at Population Services International (PSI) in Washington, DC. A key member of the Malaria and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene departments, Sydney delivers high-quality, demand-driven services to PSI’s field programs, ensuring technical integrity and programmatic success. She serves on PSI’s WASH Advisory Board, facilitating collaboration and knowledge-sharing among technical advisers across countries and programs. Prior to her role at PSI, Sydney served as the Humanitarian Assistance Program Development Officer at Global Communities, and as Project Coordinator and Project Assistant at ACDI/VOCA where she provided administrative, technical, and project management support to projects, new business proposals, and technical initiatives. Sydney completed a number of field assignments, including serving as the Grants Specialist for a USAID Food for Peace project in northeast Uganda. Sydney also worked for a small New Orleans-based non-profit to expand women’s empowerment and WASH programming in western Kenya. In addition to her work in East Africa, she also has experience in the Middle East, West Africa, and Southeast Asia. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Sydney is a graduate of Tulane University, where she earned her degree in International Development and Sociology and holds a professional certificate from Colorado State University in Sustainable Community Development.
