Gustav supports the Water Resources Department with the implementation of its diverse portfolio of projects and activities, primarily focusing on the EU Horizon2020 InnWater project and the Action Platform for Source-to-Sea Management. 

Before joining SIWI, Gustav was the Managing Director of the Earth System Governance Project. He has extensive experience in sustainability science management, organizational and project leadership, as well as building fruitful partnerships and networks in a global setting.

Gustav holds a MSc in Sustainable Development from Utrecht University, with a specialization in Earth System Governance. He has previously been a member of the Future Earth Assembly, worked as a Bright Minds Assistant at Utrecht University and lived in Sweden, Australia, the Netherlands, Spain and Estonia. Gustav speaks Swedish, English and Spanish.
