Tom is a WASH specialist providing technical assistance on climate change, capacity building and systems strengthening.

Prior to joining SIWI, Tom worked for NGOs, the private sector and academia. Tom has over 13 years of experience in water, sanitation and hygiene programmes in humanitarian and development contexts. He has implemented, managed and advised on programmes ranging from the initial response in Iraq, the West African Ebola outbreak in Liberia and post-emergency responses in Nepal, Liberia and Sierra Leone to complex conflicts including Burkina Faso and Nigeria. He has authored or co-authored publications on climate change and IWRM, groundwater, social marketing and behaviour change.

Tom holds an MSc in Water Management and an MSc by Research in Climate Change; he speaks English and French.
