The Responsible Antibiotic Manufacturing Platform (RAMP) is partnering with the National Institutes of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) and the Council of EHS Professionals (CEP) to co-host a joint webinar on AMR and Sustainable Antibiotic Manufacturing Practices in India.

In line with the UN sustainable development goals and corporate environmental, social and governance practices, global procurers – both governments and multinational pharmaceutical companies are incorporating green procurement standards in their selection criteria for the procurement of antibiotics. A number of large export markets including the UK and EU are beginning to shift their pharmaceutical imports towards sustainably manufactured antibiotics. This workshop brings together global and national experts to showcase these changes in the global procurement landscape. It also presents voluntary approaches being followed by Indian antibiotic manufacturers to verify their sustainable antibiotic manufacturing practices to meet global procurement standards.

RAMP brings together manufacturers and buyers of antibiotics to develop standards, means of verification and incentive systems to reduce AMR in the environment. RAMP works at the factory, CETP and policy levels in India and globally and is a supported by the Swiss government, AMR Industry Alliance, member companies, NIPER and CEP.
