heading
The mentioned project is primarily related to water purification. It is an innovative, cost-effective method using high-voltage plasma from a low-voltage DC battery. Here are the key points:
Individual Use
Functionality: This small device can eliminate all microorganisms present in the water.
Impact: It will significantly reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases in flood-affected areas worldwide.
Accessibility: Equipped with a solar panel for charging, it is easily accessible in areas without electricity and does not require power generated from fossil fuels.
Cost: The device costs only $5.
Sustainability: Made entirely from electronic waste, it not only purifies water but also helps in preventing environmental pollution.
Industrial Application:
Functionality: When used on a larger scale in industrial wastewater treatment plants, it can effectively purify chemically contaminated and dye-laden water from factories.
Testing: This application has already been tested and proven effective.
This is how I came up with the idea for this project:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1oWKuVul_AxZ12CJpIBMDCI0iezAJNGPK/edit?usp=drivesdk&ouid=111889468259180954392&rtpof=true&sd=true

High Voltage Plasma Water Purifier from E-waste The primary goal of this project is to address and mitigate the pervasive issue of water pollution caused by the unregulated discharge of industrial and domestic waste, a challenge predominantly stemming from industrial and domestic sectors. To this end, the project is an innovative prototype that harnesses the power of plasma technology for water purification. This state-of-the-art prototype transforms contaminated water into a plasma stream, effectively eradicating industrial dye, microbiological substances through a dual approach involving ultraviolet radiation and plasma sterilization. This critical phase is facilitated by applying an alternating current (AC) from a DC power source to the water, accomplished through the use of high-voltage & carbon electrodes. The circuit, using readily available and minimal components, to convert low-voltage DC electricity to high-voltage AC electricity and plasma, is a major innovation not previously developed. Solar panels are being used to charge the battery for the DC supply. It not only introduces a new dimension in water purification but also plays a significant role in the environment & reducing costs. Subsequently. A notable feature of this process is its ability to occur without a significant increase in temperature, a phenomenon known as non-thermal plasma. (non-thermal plasma is suitable for industrial purposes only). Furthermore, the device boasts an advanced automatic flow and pressure control system for industrial design enhancing its efficiency and reliability. For usage in remote areas, the design is even simpler. We only need two carbon electrodes along with the circuit. The circuit can create atmospheric pressure plasma. This straightforward method, suitable for individual use, effectively eradicates all microbiological contaminants (E-coli, TC, FC), microorganisms, and industrial dye present in the water. Its potential to replace current secondary and tertiary industrial wastewater treatments is promising. This breakthrough represents a significant stride towards sustainable, environmentally-friendly & cost effective water treatment practices, heralding a new era in the fight against water pollution.
