Hello I am Ainara and I am 16 years old. I am from Spain and I live in Pamplona, Navarre. I have been studying in Luis Amigó for 14 years and currently I am in my fifth year of Secondary School in Science itinerary. In my free time I enjoy playing basketball and listening to music.
I did this scientific project with Lucía, we both participated in the Scientific and Robotic Club of our school, Curiosity, in 2021-2022 year. There we learnt about investigation and we carried out this project as well as a video which took part in a national contest called Ciencia Clip where we turn out winners.
Tell us what the water concern in your country is!I think here in Spain we are really concern about water. For example, here in Pamplona, the Water Public Service has an Educational Department to promote a conscious water use since childhood.
This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:Nowadays, I think the Sustainable Development Goals are the path we need to follow to reach a sustainable world.
Is the sound an ally against microplastics?
The presence of plastic particles, better known like microplastics, in fresh water is an actual issue for the environment, and finding a method that allows people detecting them in an effective way would help human beings finding a solution. Up to now, investigator all over the world use spectrophotometry and chelating agents for detecting them but nobody use sound to do it. With water taken from different points of the river of Pamplona: in Olloki (before entering in the city and without entering water treatment plant), in the Club Natación (over the city) and in Ororbia (after de city and the water treatment plant).
