In Nigeria, the water pollution from urban runoff and floods threatens water safety, fueling disease like cholera. High turbidity, COD, and coliform renders it unusable, straining communities reliant on purchasing water from vendors at costly rate. This problem of accessing clean water is on the rise amidst the climate challenges.

Our solution to the water challenge in Nigeria is a "Nature Based Solution to Climate Change Extremities: flood and drought". This project utilizes locally sourced resources to develop a floating water recycler that purifies both greywater and runoff water using four key stages: photocatalysis, biofiltration, microbial disinfection and solar-powered circulation.
