Max is a 17 year old rising senior studying at SHSID in Shanghai, China. Through research and innovation, he strives to contribute to solving environmental issues. Max is also a persistent tutor, volunteering to teach in schools, the elderly community, and online free of charge. Max is also an enthusiastic swimmer, winning medals in backstroke and freestyle. Besides his studies, Max has a passion for marine biology, palaeontology, and evolutionary history, self-studying these topics outside of the classroom.

One water concern is the lack of water resources in northern China. There, sustainable strategies need to be carried out to support both agricultural and urban needs. This calls for innovative solutions to the efficient use of water.
