Peratada Sittikriengkrai

Hello and สวัสดีครับ! (Sawasdee-Krub). I’m a student from Thailand. I am deeply in love with science, especially water management and fluvial science.
In my country, water resources have long played a vital role in our history and development. We often say, ”Water is life”. I believe that this is true for every country around the world.
This is why I have a strong passion for conducting research and developing innovations that help conserve and sustain our water resources for future generations.
Especially today, as climate change and global warming have become urgent global issues, we can clearly see how closely they are linked to water-related challenges.
So I can’t wait to join SJWP. let’s connect and be friends, Sawasdee-Krub!

Tell us what the water concern in your country is!

Thailand faces flooding and drought in some regions. However, a more alarming issue is the problem of water pollution caused by urban and industrial activities. It harms the environment and the health of people living near rivers. Over time, toxic substances can accumulate in the ecosystem, and it will be large-scale problems in the future.

This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:

To solve the water pollution with sustainably, I believe we need to conduct in depth studies and develop more efficient water treatment technologies. These technologies should also aim to reduce energy consumption, helping address the issue of excessive energy use at the same time.
