Hi, I’m Ali Semih, an 11th-grade student at Aydın Science High School. I live in Aydın, a city that hosted various civilizations for many years. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books on technical topics and doing side projects.
I have been personally fascinated by computer science and the idea of creating something since my childhood. I spent the early ages of my life painting to nourish my instinct to create. The idea of my work turning into something physical that I do have fascinated me. I channeled this creative instinct into making software and side projects. My ultimate goal is to create the next big thing that will take our civilization to the next level.
Turkey is among the countries suffering from water shortages and this situation will be worse in the coming years with the increasing population and developing economy. In order to properly manage their pressure on our water resources, the steps we will take in the near future are of great importance.
This is what I think is one of the solutions for a sustainable future:I think the only solution is to physically limit people's use. We have seen for years how unsuccessful people are in the conscious use of resources. So that we will be successful if we limit the resources to use them efficiently with a conscious group of people.

Monitoring of Household Water Use and Controll of Pressure with Internet of Things and Cloud Database
Water resources in the world are used in 3 areas: agriculture, industry and households. This project targets household consumption that has been the least studied. In this project, a model was created that will contribute to increasing the awareness and control on water consumption. In this model; there are smart water meters that create usage data, a mobile application integrated with the internet of things and cloud database that provides a detailed display of this usage and a pressure reducing system which works under the control of this mobile application and supports the household to limit water use. It is thought that if the model is put into widespread use, it will increase awareness and decrease in water use.
