The challenges facing water governance today are too complex for any actor to solve alone, and lasting solutions emerge only when diverse perspectives come together.
We collaborate with governments, knowledge institutions, civil society, the private sector, and communities to co-create approaches that respond to real needs and build trust across sectors and regions.
We act as a neutral convenor, creating spaces where partners can exchange knowledge, identify shared priorities, and build collective action. Through our three engagement pillars — convening and co-creation, curating knowledge and research, and advice and capacity development — we work with partners to connect evidence, policy, and practice in ways that lead to meaningful change.
Partnerships also strengthen SIWI’s long-term impact. By aligning our work with others, we help embed water governance into global processes, accelerate implementation at local and regional levels, and support institutions to carry forward solutions long after individual projects end. Working in partnership ensures that SIWI’s contributions are relevant, inclusive, and able to scale in a rapidly changing world.
