Open seminars and webinars

Swedish Water House hosts regular open seminars and webinars that bring together Swedish and international experts from research, policy, business, and practice. These events address current and emerging water issues and are open to anyone with an interest in understanding how water-related challenges are evolving globally.
The seminars aim to make new knowledge and evidence accessible, highlight linkages between water and other policy areas, and create opportunities for dialogue across sectors. By gathering diverse perspectives in a shared space, the events help participants build a broader understanding of complex issues and identify questions that matter for their own work.

World Water Day

Each year, Swedish Water House convenes a national seminar to mark World Water Day. This annual event is a key moment in the Swedish water calendar, bringing together a wide range of actors to reflect on global water priorities and Sweden’s role in addressing them.
The World Water Day seminar combines international perspectives with Swedish experience, offering a platform for dialogue on both long-term challenges and emerging issues. It is one of SWH’s most visible events and a focal point for national engagement with global water agendas.

High-level dialogues and roundtables

In addition to open events, Swedish Water House convenes more targeted dialogue formats, including closed high-level roundtables. These gatherings bring together selected participants from across sectors to discuss emerging trends, identify shared challenges, and explore opportunities for cooperation.
These formats are designed to support strategic reflection rather than public debate. By creating space for candid exchange and forward-looking discussion, they help participants build shared understanding of where water-related issues are heading and what that may mean for Sweden.

Why these events matter

Together, SWH’s seminars and dialogue formats support learning, connection, and coordination across Sweden’s water community. They help participants stay informed about global developments, understand how international processes affect national contexts, and engage more confidently in discussions about water governance and policy.
By linking Swedish perspectives with global conversations, Swedish Water House’s events contribute to a more informed and connected national water community, better equipped to navigate complexity and contribute to international cooperation.
