Registration is open for Water in Communications 2026 – a free, eight-session online series designed for journalists, communicators, and conveners who want to move beyond awareness and inspire collective action.

This year’s theme, “Communicating Water for Collective Action,” is linked with World Water Week 2026 and its theme, “Water for People and Progress.” It will equip you with practical tools to share people-centred water stories, counter misinformation, and build public trust.

What is Water in Communications?

Now in its sixth year, Water in Communications is a free, interactive online training programme developed by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) with support from the Grundfos Foundation. It brings together journalists, water communicators, policy influencers, and community voices from around the world to strengthen the quality, accuracy, and impact of water storytelling.

  • Held from 2–25 June 2026
  • Eight 90-minute sessions blending expert insights, hands-on exercises, and peer learning
  • Live interpretation available in English, Spanish & Arabic
  • Certificates will be made available after 75% completion
