It explores how water is emerging as a material business and investment risk, with impacts already visible across supply chains, financial performance, and asset values.

Key insights

Water-related risks—too much water, too little water, polluted water, and ageing infrastructure—are increasingly shaping business and investment decisions.

While capital is available, investment in water solutions is constrained by gaps in data, business models, and enabling frameworks. Many solutions remain at pilot stage, highlighting the need to align incentives, finance, and governance to enable implementation at scale.

Why it matters

Water is becoming a strategic factor for economic stability and long-term value creation. This report outlines where progress is happening—and what is needed to move from awareness to action.
