Helena Thybell

Helena Thybell holds a bachelor’s degree in social science from Lund University. She has also completed studies in leadership, sustainability, and strategic development throughout her career.  

 At the national level, she has held several high-level leadership positions in Sweden. From 2019 to 2023, she served as CEO of Save the Children Sweden, leading large-scale organizational transformation, digitalization initiatives, and global strategy work. Prior to that, she served as Head of HR and People and Culture at H&M Group, a global role with responsibility for workforce strategies, leadership, and culture, and human rights. She has also led the H&M Foundation and the Swedish Postcode Foundation as CEO, with a strong focus on social innovation, climate action, and systems change.  

 At the international level, she coordinated humanitarian and development support in West Africa during her time with the Swedish Red Cross, and led global programme partnerships during her time with Save the Children International. Her work has spanned a wide range of sectors including education, human rights, gender equality, and development, with a consistent focus on social impact and sustainable development.
