Every sector of society must undergo massive transformation on the road to net zero, and only through reliable access to freshwater can this be achieved. To increase the understanding of these connections and promote impactful climate solutions, SIWI takes active part in the global climate conference COP29.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference COP29 takes place in Baku, Azerbaijan from from 11 to 22 November 2024.

SIWI is hosting and participating in a range of events, onsite and online, to highlight water’s role in effectively addressing climate change. Additionally, SIWI is the leading organizer and host of the Water for Climate Pavilion, where many water-related events will take place.

Water for Climate Pavilion

The Water for Climate Pavilion is a collaborative effort of over 70 organizations to unify and amplify the voice of the international water community within climate spaces.
