SIWI will contribute to discussions throughout HLPF, bringing expertise on water governance, implementation, climate resilience, freshwater ecosystems and the role of water in advancing sustainable development.
The UN SDG 6 Synthesis Report provides the most comprehensive assessment of global progress on water and sanitation since the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015.
Anna Tengberg, Senior Advisor at SIWI, served as a member of the report’s expert group, contributing to the review process and discussions that informed the final report. The report highlights both significant progress and the need for stronger implementation, governance and cross-sector collaboration in the years ahead.
The official version of the report to be launched soon as well as our reflections.
