Acknowledged for her outstanding achievements in scientific research and its application as well as helping to solve global environmental problems.
Professor Falkenmark is awarded the prize for “[placing] water problems onto the global policy agenda”, as well as the enormous impact her ideas have had on solving current environmental challenges, “such as seeing water as the bloodstream of the biosphere, and her wide-ranging activities for making the world more sustainable”, writes the Board of Directors of the Blue Planet Prize.
SIWI is tremendously happy for this recognition of Malin’s work and efforts and is proud to have her as a leading contributor to the institute’s scientific agenda.
