SIWI is a strong advocate for a more holistic approach to development. We participate in many different processes to strengthen the resilience of both people and the planet.
Every year, SIWI contributes to important global meetings and processes to create a more sustainable world. In 2022 this will for example include the Stockholm+50 conference, marking the 50th anniversary of the first United Nations conference on the environment. The year after, SIWI will play a leading role in the United Nations Conference on the Water Action Decade.
In 2021, SIWI helped prepare the 2021 Bonn Water Dialogues for Results to speed up progress on water aspects of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development. We also contributed to the 2021 Climate Adaptation Summit.
