Acting across sector is critical to effectively work to mitigate and adapt for climate change and ultimately provide climate resilience. A nexus approach, in particular the WEFE nexus, identifies synergies and trade-offs between sectors and fosters sustainable and efficient resource use, particularly in light of climate pressures.

With the event we aim to foster political leadership that promotes cross-sectoral synergies and multi-level governance, enabling both policy and practice to contribute to improved climate adaptation and even mitigation an d science based policy development improving policy coherence. By showing both the practitioners side and the policy side we want to showcase the WEFE nexus and its potential as well as enablers with expertise from different levels, regions and sectors.

This is an official UNFCCC side-event. It will be live-streamed from the UNFCCC COP28 official platform (for registered participants).
