Neighbourhood of the Mutirão for Cities, Buildings, Water and Infrastructure: Opening of the Neighbourhood
COP30 in Belém marks a historic first — a UN Climate Conference in the Amazon, where climate impacts and solutions converge. The Neighbourhood of the Mutirão for Cities, Water and Infrastructure embodies the COP30 Presidency’s call for a global mutirão (collective effort) to accelerate climate action.
This inaugural event launches a shared space for collaboration across four pavilions — Cities & Regions, Buildings & Cooling, Water for Climate, and Resilient Infrastructure — that will host joint programming throughout COP30. Ministers, UN leaders, and partners will highlight the urban, infrastructure, and water agendas as central to climate solutions and call for collective action that links people and territories at every level.
