As climate pressures intensify, managing water across boundaries demands both scientific insight and diplomatic skill. This session brings together diverse voices to discuss inclusive approaches for resolving water conflicts and fostering collaboration. It underscores the vital role of trust, dialogue, and shared learning in advancing global climate resilience.
This session marks the launch of the Routledge Handbook of Water Diplomacy, a new open-access reference exploring how negotiation, relationship-building, and adaptive learning can resolve water conflicts and foster cooperation. Co-editor Dr Aaron Salzberg will share insights from diverse regions and scales, illustrating how science and diplomacy can work hand in hand to turn water challenges into opportunities for peace and resilience. The discussion highlights practical tools and real-world cases showing how inclusive water diplomacy supports both climate adaptation and global cooperation.
